Who We Are
As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.
We have six regional centres – Aberdeen, Dundee, South Queensferry, Hillington, Cardonald and Clydebank. NHS 24 supports hybrid working, and this post can be based within any NHS 24 regional centres. The successful candidate must be within commuting distance to a regional centre to attend if required and must also be able to travel to other regional centres when requested to attend meetings, undertake training and any other activities.
The Role
Working within the Programme Management Office the role holder manages and supports activities to NHS 24 projects and programmes. Further the post holder will proactively coordinate project activity providing support and advice on programme reporting, facilities, systems, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
To contribute to the achievement of the delivery of NHS 24 Programme objectives and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by:
- assisting the Head of PMO and the Senior Programme Manager in providing support and administrative duties for the Programme team and the PMO
- coordinating PMO processes, systems/tools and ensuring governance is adhered to and that reporting is actioned by Project Managers
- coordinating PMO activities including coordination of the PMO SharePoint site, PPM tool, mailbox, calendar and assisting with development/delivery of Programme learning and development workshops
- Performing tasks associated with maintaining and updating management information and project tracking systems.
- Providing administrative support across NHS 24’s programmes and projects including attendance and participation at meetings, formal minute taking, recording and following up on action points, maintaining plans, decision and action logs, risk and issue registers and diary management.
Successful Applicant will:
- Have Relevant qualification and/or work-based experience, in a financial, business or administration field.
- Have Previous experience within a Programme Management Office.
- Hold the Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrate communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills, influencing skills.
Benefits
NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a permanent contract on Band 5 £30,229 - £37,664 Per Annum (pro rata if applicable). Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
