An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Oncology Pharmacy Team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness – recent winners of the Pharmacy Team of the year. The position is for an enthusiastic motivated Pharmacist with an interest in specialising in cancer care.  The oncology pharmacy team at Raigmore Hospital provides specialist cancer services for NHS Highland as part of the North Cancer Alliance (NCA), treating patients with solid tumours and haematological malignancies. The Cancer Care team has a broad research portfolio and participates in a wide range of cancer clinical trials.  

You will join our progressive and friendly pharmacy team, committed to the development of services to cancer patients. You will be given the opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and skills and gain a breadth of experience across pharmacy oncology and haematology services. 

You will be a GPhC registered pharmacist with excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in cancer services but have limited or no prior experience are encouraged to apply as full support and training will be provided. You will also be supported in your career development and progression through application of the newly launched RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework. An independent prescribing qualification would be an advantage however, you would be supported to undertake the training if you do not already have this qualification.

You will also participate in the Raigmore weekend and out of hours' service and public holiday rotas.
