We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a Fixed term post for 18 months

This role is aligned to the GP Re-Provisioning Programme which will migrate over 200 GP Clinical systems to new software which is cloud hosted. To support the implementation, we require experienced and Pharmacy Technician staff to work with the programme team, GP practice and HSCP attached staff within the Board. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the eHealth team. The post will require excellent communication and IT skills, working within a team of GP IT facilitators (supported by Central Prescribing Team Pharmacy Technicians). The postholder must be proficient with datasets, in data analysis and Microsoft packages software and be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organisation skills and be able to work independently. This post will be agile, with a mixture of office, practice based and home working required. Working closely with healthcare professionals across the Board you will contribute to setting out how digital technology will help transform services to provide a truly integrated and modern health and social care service. If you are interested in supporting the implementation of the next generation of systems within Primary Care within the largest Board in Scotland, we would welcome your application.
