NHS Highland have full-time vacancies within their Energy, Environment & Sustainability team with responsibility for North Highland & Argyll & Bute. As an organisation, NHS Highland needs to deliver a service that has less of an impact on the natural environment and there needs to be clever, innovative methods developed for the board to operate more sustainably 


The successful candidates need to be enthusiastic, motivated, have good negotiating skills and be adaptable. They will need to be able to be able to deal with projects of differing size and type which all align with NHS Highland’s Environment & Sustainability agenda. The individual may need to develop, instigate and lead on these projects following NHS Highland processes. This will require liaising with various differing teams, consultants and contractors to be able to deliver. 


The post is primarily based at Assynt House however, there will be a requirement to travel to sites all over the NHS Highland and Argyll & Bute region. The position will require good communication skills, effective management and prioritisation to contribute to the provision of excellent patient care. What we are looking for –

- Experience of managing individuals and Contractors.

- A current UK driving licence is essential.

- Applicants must have a recognised qualifications as detailed in the job description.

- Experience within a health care environment would be advantageous.

- A great team player who is self-motivated.  

- A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessary.  to participate in the 1:6 on-call rota.
