An exciting opportunity is available for a staff nurse to join the Renal Nursing team. This post is based at Mountainhall Treatment Centre (MHTC), while also working across the regional services, at the Kirkcudbright Renal Unit and Galloway Community Hospital Renal unit providing Haemodialysis treatment to patients with Chronic Renal Failure.
We are looking for someone who feels ready to dedicate time and effort to undergo in house training which requires a motivated and keen individual to take on further learning. This is supported by our Renal Educator and experienced staff.
We have three units across the region- Mountainhall Treatment Centre being the biggest with eighteen beds, Galloway Community Hospital Renal Unit with four beds and Kirkcudbright Renal Unit with three beds.
We also provide dialysis to inpatients at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and to those in acute renal failure, working closely with staff in wards D8 and CCU. We support our PD specialist Nurse and cover an on call rota Monday –Sunday out of hours for Acute Haemodialysis and Acute PD requirements.
