Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for International Recruitment Practice Development Nurse within NHS Ayrshire and Arran, for enthusiastic self-motivated individuals, well versed in education to support our Registered Nurses, International Nurses and Health Care Support Workers.

What you will do:

 As a Practice Development Nurse you will lead in the provision of training and education programmes for International Nurses to ensure the development and maintenance of clinical competencies and safe and effective clinical care.  You will be responsible for supporting and promoting clinical excellence and patient safety with a particular focus on education.

You must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with clinical teams and lead and support them. Furthermore support clinical staff and services to embed evidence into practice, this can be in the form of delivering training sessions, working in clinical practice, carrying out audits or supporting the delivery of guidelines and policies

Guided by the Lead Nurse for Excellence in Care and Practice Development, you will work in tandem with Corporate Practice Development, International Recruitment HR Team, Specialist Nurses, QI teams, PEFs, Library Services and Excellence in Care.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

As a registered nurse with current NMC registration, you will be educated to first degree level in an appropriate subject and hold an education / training qualification at post graduate (masters) level or equivalent.

Experience of managing clinical and organisational challenges and an ability to handle complex work without supervision would be advantageous as would the ability to negotiate and facilitate change with staff and stakeholders at all levels.

37.5 hours per week - Part time would be considered
