PHARMACY SUPPORT WORKER – HIGHER LEVEL

1.0 WTE
37.5 hours per week
(including weekends and public holidays)
Salary Scale: £25,486 - £27,486

The vision for the Pharmacy and Medicines service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services. We are focussed on creating an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish, develop and make best use of their skills.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the pharmacy team as a Clinical Pharmacy Support Worker (PSW). As a PSW within hospital services you will be part of well-established teams embedded within the multidisciplinary team delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You will be playing a key role in medicines management activities on the ward to ensure patients receive their medicines in a timely manner. You will also be working alongside the wider pharmacy team in the department in Dispensary and Distribution.
The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 6 with completion of an in-house competency-based Group Award accredited via Edinburgh College within 12 months of commencing the post. Relevant work experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment is desirable but not essential. The post holder will also undergo a training programme to demonstrate competency for role.
