We are looking for a dynamic and Senior Nurse for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) covering outpatient services.
In this role, you will ensure the clinical contribution to service delivery is of the highest quality and is one that enhances the persons experience through the provision of safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable and person-centred care. You will have experience of leading change within a multi-disciplinary environment and will have demonstrated a collaborative approach as a leader. Excellent communication and analytical skills will be essential.

You should be a highly experienced mental health nurse who can demonstrate transformational leadership skills and expertise in outpatient services, crisis care, outreach and specialist children’s nursing services.
You will be educated to degree level with relevant post graduate qualifications (or equivalent development) and have substantial previous experience in an area relevant to the wellbeing and mental health of children, young people and families. The Senior Nurse Posts have operational and managerial responsibility for nursing teams in service areas across Tayside.
The post holders will demonstrate the ability to manage teams and ensure visibility across teams within their roles. They will be expected to provide senior leadership to the nursing workforce across Tayside within their remit, and ensure that professional and operational priorities are delivered to the highest standard and that person-centred cultures are developed and lived by the team.
As a post holder you will work collaboratively with multi-professional leads and contribute to the ongoing success and development of the services within the Women Children and Families Care Division. You will be expected to work closely with partner agencies, represent NHS Tayside and contribute to multi agency guidance, planning and joint service provisions affecting children, young people and families.
You must have experience and understanding of data reporting and analysis to help shape future workforce planning and training appropriate to service needs.
The post holder will focus on Tier 3 CAMHS development and with a focus on supporting the development of Neurodevelopmental work streams.
Your experience should be broad and encompass both clinical and managerial expertise including a working knowledge of organisational and professional policies. You must be a resilient, solution focussed and disciplined individual who shares their knowledge and expertise with the aim of supporting and developing the team around them. The post holders should be focused on creating a positive workplace environment that is developed in support continuous development to provide effective patient care and support staff development. This will include project management, improvement work and effective, efficient budget management.

Base of work: Dudhope Terrace, Dundee. Postholder must be able to travel across Tayside and work from other NHS Tayside sites as the service is also based in Perth. Hours of work are: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 0830 and 1700.
