The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate provides an integrated service to a population of approximately 380,000 people, with a team of around 300 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators.  We pride ourselves on being a vibrant, welcoming and friendly team, that is made up of hardworking, talented and dedicated individuals who work towards a common goal of putting our patients at the heart of everything that we do. We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an innovative, ambitious and dedicated pharmacist to lead the antimicrobial pharmacy service across NHS Fife in collaboration with the antimicrobial pharmacist in primary care.  You will provide expert advice on the appropriate use of antimicrobials to the broader healthcare team, provide leadership on antimicrobial prescribing to the clinical pharmacy team and provide a highly specialist service to patients in line with local and national policies. You will contribute to the antimicrobial ward rounds to maximise the pharmaceutical input into patient care. Additionally, you will lead on immunoglobulins, providing support to clinicians with IG requests and liaising with the IG regional panel regarding shortages and allocations.  You will contribute to all aspects of clinical governance, education and training, medicine efficiencies, clinical risk and audit within these areas. 

You must be compassionate and have a proven track record of service development to support our transformational improvement journey. You should also be self motivated and able to work independently or as part of the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team.  Our successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who has the ability to build good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals. You should have experience of working in a clinical environment and managing staff. Non medical prescribing qualification is desirable.
