An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse in the Day Surgery Unit Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.
Supporting the Senior Charge Nurse to manage the nursing team and support service development is an integral part of this leadership role. Participation in audit and quality improvement is essential therefore previous experience of this is desirable.
Good decision making skills in clinical practice and the ability to work without supervision are essential as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You must possess evidence of effective team working and excellent interpersonal skills, and be committed to patient focused care, and have a keen interest in day surgery.
You should be educated to degree level/working towards a degree or have equivalent experience and education. You will be required to be competent in the necessary evidence based clinical skills relating to Day Surgery. Evidence of further education/continuous professional development and be willing to commit to life-long learning and continuing professional development both of yourself and that of your team.
You will be required to be flexible in your approach to working as the hours of work will be to meet the needs of the service. Job share applications welcome.
