The NHS Grampian Medical Education Team comprises a Postgraduate and an Undergraduate Director of Medical Education, 5 Associate Directors of Medical Education (ADME) and the Medical Education Quality Manager. As well as Trainee Leads representing each division. The team works under the leadership of the medical directorate.
Due to changes within the Medical Education Team we have vacancies for a new ADME within the division of Dr Gray’s Hospital. The ADMEs act as education champions and role models. They will assist the Directors of Medical Education in providing professional leadership in medical education, helping balance educational and service objectives and liaising with our Educational Organisers - NES and the University of Aberdeen Medical School.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for medical education and training,and for continuing quality improvement. They should be familiar with the current educational governance structure and have an awareness of management structures in NHS Grampian.
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post). For more information visit www.gmc-uk.org
Appointments will be subject to an agreed job plan renegotiation.
Successful applicants will be expected to renegotiate their existing Job Plan to accommodate the sessional commitment they are appointed to.
