The shift pattern is 6 hours per day worked between 07.00-17.00 on a rotational basis (30 hours).

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours. 

The Cook Freeze Production Unit at Royal Alexandra Hospital is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the catering assistant and food production team.

Main duties will be to work throughout the Cook Freeze Production Unit including working for long periods of time inside freezer storage rooms at air temperatures below -18c.

Duties will include decanting heavy loads, portioning and packing large volumes of food in line with departmental procedures.

Duties will also include ensuring that the unit is cleaned to defined cleaning schedules and expected standards.

A certificate in elementary food hygiene is preferred but not essential for the role as is previous experience in working in a large scale food production/catering environment
