Nursing Assistant
AFC Band 3 (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,591.56 per annum (pro rata) and a High Secure Clinical Responsibility Allowance of £3,819.96 per annum (pro rata)
Hours Available - Full Time and Part time flexible working opportunities will be welcomed and considered.
Contract Duration – Permanent
Please note that successful candidates must be available to attend a two-week mandatory induction and training course.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nursing team at the State Hospital. You will support registered nursing staff to deliver high quality, person centered care for patients with mental health illness and learning disability in a forensic environment.
It is essential that you have an SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring mental health or learning disability environment.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Effective written and verbal communication skills are an essential part of this role as is the ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
You will have a working knowledge of basic information technology.
An attractive work-life balance is supported by the successful candidate's shift pattern, which centres around a 4 days on and 2 days off shift pattern, with shifts being generated up to 12 weeks in advance. Applicants will also be rostered to work Night Duty (2100–0742), and work on average a 75-hour fortnight when on Night Duty.
