Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 6 £37,831 - £46,100 pro rata per annum depending on candidate experience

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a busy, dynamic and supportive team as a qualified Occupational Therapist. The Marie Curie Hospice based in Glasgow provides specialist palliative and end of life care to individuals, and those important to them, in the inpatient unit, Wellbeing centre and in their own homes.

This is a key role and you will be responsible for the management and delivery of a high-quality Occupational Therapy service to patients with specialist palliative care needs.

You will work collaboratively as part of a highly specialist multidisciplinary team which provides holistic-centred care to patients with complex palliative care needs, with the emphasis on offering non-pharmacological symptom control, rehabilitation and promoting and maintaining independence and quality of life. The individualised assessment and treatment should support patients and carers to achieve the best possible level of function and quality of life irrespective of diagnosis or prognosis, empowering patients to set personal goals, assisting them to achieve these and enabling them to feel better and live well for longer.

You will manage your own caseload of complex cases with specialist needs, as an autonomous practitioner, demonstrating and evidencing high-level problem solving and reasoning skills and independence of judgement.

What we are looking for:

•             BSc HONS in Occupational Therapy and current professional registration are essential.

•             Substantial post-graduate experience

•             Recent on-going professional development

•             Highly developed communication, organisational and time management skills

•             Strong IT skills and a flexible approach
