NHS Fife Rheumatology Service is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the service. You will be part of a forward thinking team, delivering and supporting holistic care to the people of Fife with rheumatoid conditions to live the best lives they can.

Rheumatology is an evolving service; we are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with special interest in this area. This post will involve working in both inpatient and community settings, including acute and community hospitals and domiciliary areas. Utilising your expert knowledge base and clinical competence, you will manage people with complex rheumatology care needs, supporting our team to deliver the best care possible.

You must be adaptable to change and be a proactive and effective communicator. You will provide clinical leadership, promote high professional standards, facilitate learning and provide clinical supervision and mentorship.

You should preferably be a suitably qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) with a keen interest in Rheumatology care or equivalent trainee, willing to undertake the ANP pathway training. (Annex 21 will apply until successful completion of training. Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate which is dependent on the duration of the training period (see Annex 21 Terms and Conditions).)

You should be a Registered Nurse on NMC register and have significant experience. You should be a V300 non-medical prescriber, working towards an appropriate Masters level qualification in Advanced Practice. You should be competent in clinical assessment; clinical reasoning; judgement and diagnostic decision making; anatomy and pathophysiology and leading, delivering and evaluating care within your area of practice.

You will be fully supported to develop and progress, and must possess drive and ambition to further develop your knowledge.
