The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is seeking a Band 5 nurse to join its multidisciplinary team.
We welcome applications from nurses demonstrating a strong interest in CAMHS, with a commitment to expanding their experience in working with children and young people facing mental health challenges. This includes showcasing effective networking skills, experience in multi-agency collaboration, and a background in delivering evidence-based interventions. The role requires autonomy while being responsive to the locality's needs within an established team framework.
Our team focuses on providing assessments and interventions for children up to 18 years old, addressing moderate to severe complex mental health problems, along with supporting their families. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in offering assessments, interventions, consultation, and support to various professionals. Building relationships with a diverse range of professions to enhance service delivery is a key aspect of this role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for the successful candidate. We seek self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals with innovation and a sense of responsibility for their ongoing professional development, as well as a commitment to actively contribute to service developments.
DesIrable qualifications include prior experience in the assessment, management, and review of young people with mental health difficulties. The role also involves participating in regular evening clinics as part of a service initiative to enhance accessibility for families.
Supervision is provided within the team, and continuous professional development opportunities are available. The post holder is expected to contribute across the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, making this position suitable for those seeking to gain and develop experience within CAMHS in Forth Valley.
