Position
An opportunity for a highly motivated registered Mental Health Nurse to work within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHTE) in East Ayrshire where you will work with older people who have a range of mental health issues. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in close partnership with colleagues in primary care, community, social work and third sector.
The position is offered on a permanent basis.
What you will do:
The Older Adult Community Mental Health Team is embedded within the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. As a registered Mental Health Nurse, on Part 3 of the NMC Register, you will be an integral member of the team working within East Ayrshire providing assessment, care, support and interventions to patients and carers.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
As a registered Mental Health Nurse, on Part 3 of the NMC Register, with current NMC registration, you will be educated to degree level or have a relevant post graduate qualification and experience relevant to job purpose.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a well-developed knowledge of care of older people with complex mental health problems and appropriate interventions coupled with organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential for this post. In return you can expect to receive clinical supervision and excellent continuous professional development opportunities to further your nursing career.
