Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Renal (0.6 WTE)

South Sector

Band 8a

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care services to renal patients within the regional directorate. You will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) but there will be a requirement to provide clinics at other sites within GGC. You will work with the existing senior renal pharmacist and the multidisciplinary teams in managing a defined inpatient case load, participation in clinics and facilitating the management of specialist medicines such as orphan drugs and IPTR/PACS2 requests. A key component for this post over the next 2 years is to coordinate and implement the conversion of the immunosuppressant brand of Prograf to Adoport (tacrolimus) at transplant clinics across Glasgow.

Substantive experience in renal and an independent prescribing qualification are essential.

The QEUH is one of the largest acute hospitals in the UK and has an excellent team of friendly pharmacy staff committed to modernisation of services.
