Position
We have exciting opportunities for committed, motivated and experienced Registered Nurses who will support the delivery of Scottish Vocational Qualifications within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. One post is full-time working 37.5hrs and the other is part-time working 20 hrs per week. Both will be working within a small and enthusiastic team within the department of Organisational Learning and Development to support staff to attain SVQ/MA awards.
Both positions are offered on a permanent basis.
What you will do:
You will work closely with the Head of Learning and Development in providing advice and guidance on Vocational Qualifications to line managers. You will also undertake workplace assessment and provide professional leadership and guidance to candidates undertaking an SVQ in Healthcare (Clinical) at SCQF Levels 6 and 7. This will also include Modern Apprenticeships.
As part of the SVQ team, you will work with our employability team in helping NHS Ayrshire and Arran to develop and grow its future workforce.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
The roles require you to be a 1st level registered nurse with equivalent post-registration experience. A workplace assessor qualification is preferred with relevant experience. Experience of working in a large organisation would also be advantageous.
You will be an enthusiastic team player who has a working knowledge and understanding of SQA procedures including SVQ delivery with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

Hours:
One post is full-time working 37.5hrs and the other is part-time working 20 hrs per week.

Whilst the posts are based at the training centre in Ayrshire Central Hospital - Irvine, you will be required to work across all sites with scope for some hybrid/home working. Normal office hours will be applicable to both posts with reasonable scope for flexibility determined by service requirements.
