'West Lothian District Nursing Service are recruiting an experienced Specialist Practitioner District Nurse to be the Clinical Team Lead for the Out of Hours (OOH) District Nursing Team.
We require an excellent person-centred practitioner to lead and manage the OOH team, and progress DN service developments in line with strategic priorities and national agenda.
The OOH team work 4pm to midnight Mon-Sun and 0830-0000 weekends and public holidays. This post requires a commitment to work across all of these shift patterns and will be primarily an unsocial hours post.

JOB PURPOSE
Take a key role in leading and developing the District Nursing (DN) service within WLHSCP, providing expert professional knowledge and advice and ensuring clinical excellence in assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans and ensuring the delivery of high quality care in partnership with patients and families.
The post holder will work with the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) and appropriate others in the enhancement and strategic development of the existing services as well as the development of any new services based on the needs of the community. They will work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies and provide expert professional knowledge.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
