Position
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian to join our adult weight management and diabetes prevention team based within the Adult Weight Management service.
The post is based at North West Kilmarnock Area Centre but travel across all areas of Ayrshire and Arran will be required to deliver the service.
The position is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2025.
What you will do:
This post offers an opportunity for an experienced Dietitian to work collaboratively across Ayrshire designing, delivering and evaluating diabetes prevention and weight management consultations and education.
You will also be involved in developing evidence based resources and using digital solutions including social media to reach target populations.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team focusing on the prevention, early detection and early intervention of Type 2 Diabetes and delivery of Tier 2 and Tier 3 weight management programmes.
The Department provides training to A, B and C placement students and offers clinical supervision.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should possess an Honors degree/postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Experience in weight management and diabetes as well as delivering group education is essential. Competencies and skills required to deliver this post are e.g. excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent team working and working knowledge of social media platforms.

Hours:
30 hours per week - Part time and job share considered
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
