This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated data analyst to join the Central Prescribing Team as Team leader of the prescribing data analysts. Prescribing data analysis is a key tool to monitor the safe and effective use of medicines and support both clinicians and managers to achieve the best outcomes from the available resources. The postholder will be expected to lead the Central Prescribing Team Data Analysts Team (CPT-DAT) in Pharmacy Services delivering data analysis to a range of stakeholders using data held in a range databases.
This post will require excellent leadership, management, communication and IT skills, leading the specialist CPT-DAT, with eHealth colleagues and be part of a wider multidisciplinary team in Pharmacy Services.
The postholder must be manage the day-to-day work of CPT-DAT including work allocation, checking and evaluation of work and identifying training needs. The postholder must be proficient with data analysis, reporting database maintenance/development, and use of related software (e.g. Business Objects, SQL, R, MicroStrategy, Microsoft software packages and applications) and be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organisation skills and be able to work independently.
