SE Community Mental Health Team/Edinburgh
Clinical Psychologist Band 8a: 0.6 WTE CMHT/ 22.5hrs
Hours-Fixed Term post until July 2024
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist that would suit individuals who are interested in working with patients presenting with severe and complex mental health problems. This fixed term post, covering parental leave, is located in the Community Mental Health Team in SE Edinburgh, based in Ballenden House. The postholder will be working alongside two part time Clinical Psychologist colleagues, as part of an established, Community Mental Health Team. You will also be part of the Psychosis and Complex Mental Health Psychology (PCMH) Team.
There is a strong commitment to professional development of staff within the service.
You will be involved in providing a highly specialist Psychology service to the clients of the CMHT which involves the assessment, formulation and application of psychological models and associated therapies. In addition to the provision of individual and group therapies you will be required to provide support to the multi disciplinary staff team through shared assessments, psychological formulation, reflective practice and consultancy. Teaching and training for the CMHT generally will also be expected as part of the role.
You must have an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and be registered with HCPC as Applied Psychologist or be eligible for registration.
