An exciting opportunity has arisen within Ward 1 St Andrews Community Hospital for a Senior Charge Nurse to join our established nursing team. Ward 1 is a 24 bedded GP led unit specialising in rehabilitation, palliative care and complex discharge planning.
You will be responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe, effective, person centred care. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, enthuse and lead the nursing team. You will be accountable for delivering on service provision, redesign and improvement to ensure that all local and national guidelines are adhered to and met.
You will possess effective time management and prioritisation skills and an ability to delegate appropriately. A qualification or working towards Leadership Skills would be preferred.
You will ideally have significant post–registration experience and demonstrate extensive clinical and professional practice preferably within care of the older person setting.
A passion for the ethos of Community Hospitals is essential. You should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to your ongoing professional and personal development and education.
