Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Cancer & Palliative Care Services
(Oncology/Haematology Day Treatment)
37.5 hours per week
Edinburgh Cancer Centre at St John’s Hospital
Based in Livingston, West Lothian, this satellite unit of the Edinburgh Cancer Centre (ECC) has a reputation for the provision of high-quality evidence-based cancer care and research for both Oncology and Haematology patients from the local area.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive specialist Cancer Care for our patients, ensuring the highest standard of person-centred nursing care is delivered in partnership with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative ANP to join our team. They should have relevant oncology and/or haematology experience, familiarity with people and resource management and the ability to work at a senior level in a complex setting as an independent practitioner. Knowledge and experience of delivering Systemic Anticancer Therapies (SACT) will be expected. They will work with a large team to deliver an extensive portfolio of treatments safely and effectively to cancer patients and will be able to demonstrate advanced patient management skills.
The successful applicant will mainly be based at St John’s Hospital, Livingston but may be asked to travel to any clinical area within NHS Lothian to support or provide appropriate senior cover. They may also have to attend local and regional meetings.
