This is a Fixed term post for 1 year.

The shift pattern is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable qualified applicant with drive and enthusiasm to join Glasgow HSCP Senior Administration Team for Adult Mental Health. The Post holder will be responsible for providing leadership and line management to 26 Team Medical/Team Secretary Secretarial Staff. They will effectively plan & deploy resources across Multiple Sites within NE Locality supporting a range of Adult Mental Health Services including CMHTs, Psychotherapy, Primary Care Mental Health & Crisis Teams.

The post holder will function with a high degree of autonomy and will be required to make critical decisions on a daily basis, in relation to operational systems, staffing issues, referral management ensuring organizational objectives and wider SG Targets are achieved supporting the effective delivery of patient care.  Sites Include : Arran Centre, Auchinlea Centre, Springpark Centre, Springburn HCC and Parkhead.

Knowledge, Training and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration
  • Previous experience and ability to demonstrate effective supervision of administrative and clerical staff directly involved in patient administration
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation skills with ability to organize, motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise concurrent demands.
