An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic IT Support Analyst to join the Laboratory IT team, part of the Laboratory Medicine Department based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining administering the Laboratory Medicine Clinical Unit’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other IT system’s within labs with a view to meeting the operational, business, quality management and audit requirements of the Laboratory Medicine Directorate and NHS Grampian.

Candidates should be educated to HNC/HND or equivalent level of experience in Operational IT, including Networking. Have previous experience supporting IT Systems, including application support and ideally have a clinical/laboratory background. Experience in using Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or above, Microsoft SQL Server, MS Office software suite inc Teams.

Good communication skills are essential in dealing with demanding users, the post holder will be required to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of healthcare professionals and external suppliers.

The post is a 12 month fixed term contract and staff secondments would be considered.
