NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint a Simulation Fellow based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital at Larbert. You will join a team of Centre Director and nine educational co-ordinators, three technicians and an administrator.
The post is very developmental in nature and offers a unique combination of teaching and research opportunities, both within this purpose-built facility as well as in a wider educational context of the NHS in Scotland. This post is ideally suited to a person who is undertaking or planning to undertake further study such as certificate, diploma or masters in medical education.
The post would be ideal for a candidate who has at least four years training within a hospital based or acute care specialty and wishes to develop a special interest in medical education and educational research.
This post is available on a full-time basis (40 hour week) but the Board welcomes applications from individuals who are unable to undertake a full time commitment and who may wish to work on either a part-time or job share basis. There is no direct clinical care associated with this post, although appropriate clinical work may be an option to be agreed after appointment.
