Senior Staff Nurse Ward 112 Inpatient Haematology 33.75 hour post
We have a vacancy for a full time Senior Staff Nurse in Ward 112 Haematology Inpatients. We provide highly specialised care for patients with a range of haematological conditions. The care is varied, busy and highly rewarding with patients receiving high intensity chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, supportive and holistic care and acutely unwell unscheduled care. Staff in this friendly and supportive team develop a wide range of nursing skills and knowledge. The Anchor Unit as a whole is sociable, fast moving and progressive; actively supporting and promoting nurse led activities, development and further study; offering excellent opportunities for both professional and personal development.
This is an exciting post for an experienced nurse which will provide you with an opportunity to enhance your knowledge and nursing skills. As well as this, assisting the Senior Charge Nurse in a managerial role, deputising on behalf of the SCN in their absence. You should be an excellent clinical role model interested in the development of staff and student nurses.
Whilst some haematology experience is desirable it is not essential to the post. It is a requirement that the successful candidate if not currently on the SACT register, undertakes a chemotherapy course. The training, funding and support for this is provided.
