Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist (6 months)
NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Hairmyres
The opportunity has arisen to recruit a locum ophthalmology consultant to NHS Lanarkshire. Applicants with any subspecialty interest that complements the current consultant body are invited to apply. An interest in either medical retina or glaucoma would be preferred. A six-month contract would be offered in the first instance. The successful candidate will be part of the consultant team based at University Hospital Hairmyres, providing ophthalmic care to the whole of NHS Lanarkshire. The timetable for any appointable consultant would include laser sessions for the treatment of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. There would also be glaucoma and medical retina outpatient clinics
We have a highly motivated and skilled non-medical workforce working in the department as well as strong links with community optometry.
