Environmental Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)
22.5hrs per week (0.6wte)
Fixed Term: to 30 Nov 2024
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates, for this new role in NHS Grampian.
The post holder will provide expert clinical/technical services relating to environmental IPC to aid the delivery of Healthcare Built Environment (HBE) activity. They will be responsible for developing, undertaking and interpreting highly specialised environmental microbiology IPC procedures and collation of information to support progression of healthcare building works.
You will work closely with IPC Doctors and IPC Nurses and have the opportunity to participate in IPC projects and incident management. You will collaborate more widely with NHS Grampian colleagues and have the opportunity to network with colleagues outwith the organisation. Due to the unique nature of this role, there will be a requirement to share your specialist knowledge and teach others locally and nationally, in this expanding field.
