We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Medical team at the Western General Hospital Edinburgh.
Our team provides input to the acute medical receiving unit and provides a new Inreach and Outreach service to facilitate early discharge from hospital. We are therefore looking for a driven, enthusiastic, motivated and flexible Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Applicants should have:
- Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
- A high standard of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention skills.
- Clinical experience working as an Occupational Therapist within an acute or rehabilitation setting.
- Experience of providing clinical or non clinical supervision.
In return we offer formal supervision, development opportunities including Quality Improvement and peer support from an experienced and friendly team.
There are strong network links to the hospital via bus services.
Candidates who are currently in a Band 5 post and wish to develop their career are encouraged to apply along with those already in a Band 6 post. There will be a commitment to weekend working in the Occupational Therapy team at WGH as part of the 5 over 7 day working pattern.
