Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Quality Manager within the Department of Genetics. Candidates should be educated to degree level, preferably with a scientific background and have experience in the management of an externally accredited quality management system. The Quality Manager will also manage compliance with all regulations from a Health and safety perspective.
The Quality Manger will direct and performance manage the delivery of an effective and efficient quality system for the Department, promoting a culture of quality improvement. They will be responsible for maintaining compliance with standards mandated by current ISO15189:2022 and current health and safety standards.
The Regional Genetic Service in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee is a large friendly integrated team of Technical, Scientific and Clinical staff who provide a first-class service to patients and families from Tayside /NE Fife and elsewhere in Scotland. The Service is part of the Scottish Strategic Network for Genomic Medicine which provides specialist genetic testing to patients and their families across Scotland. The Laboratory Service offers modern, well equipped facilities and close working relations with Pathology, Haematology and University groups. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably motivated applicant to embark on a career as a Quality Manager in an NHS diagnostic laboratory
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
