MODERN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
Salary: £ 25,468 - £27,486 Band 3 – Annex 21 (pro-rata %)
Applicants must possess the following qualifications at the time of application:
Engineering - A minimum of 5 National 5 grades (SCQF Level 5) at A or B in Maths, English, Physics, a Technical subject and one other subject
Plumbing - A minimum of 5 National 5 grades (SCQF Level 5) at A or B in Maths, English, a Technical subject and two other subject
All shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a short Aptitude Test prior to formal interview
Programme Duration:
The Modern Apprenticeship training programme is based on a 4 year training / fixed-term contract.
Post holders will be required to complete either long-term or block placements with the training provider
Role & Requirements:
Successful candidates will be required to commence employment in July 2024.
All 3 positions will be based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but will require post holders to participate in a rotational placement programme around other workshops within NHS Grampian (at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin & Woodend & Royal Cornhill Hospital/s, Aberdeen) on a regular basis.
Conditions of employment:
Post holders will be required to undertake and complete both practical and theoretical components of the Modern Apprenticeship training programme – which will include the completion of a ‘learning / evidence portfolio’
The training programme will include regular review meetings with both the Workplace Assessor, Line Manager and Learning & Development Manager
