An exciting opportunity has arisen for a charge nurse within ward 8, Ninewells hospital. Ward 8 is a 24 bedded mixed unscheduled surgical ward which cares predominantly for patients with acute surgical conditions.  As a charge nurse you will support the senior charge nurse to lead the nursing team.

You will need to be focused, highly motivated and have extensive experience at Band 5 level within an acute setting. You must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills and commitment to improving standards of patients care.


In the absence of the senior charge nurse, the post holder with have continuing responsibility for the management and clinical leadership of the ward.

Hours of work: 37.5hrs available
