The Post: 

An opportunity has risen for a Data Protection specialist within NSS Digital and Security team.

The Candidate:

The candidate should be able to evidence expert knowledge and experience within a data protection environment. The ability to manage a team of staff and prioritise workloads appropriately.

The suitable candidate should have expert knowledge of data protection legislation, have good written and verbal communication skills and show the ability to deal with complex requests in a timeous manner. 

Experience and knowledge of NHS Scotland and the complexities of protecting patient data within complex systems, would also be a benefit. 

Location and Working Pattern:

Location - Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.

Work Pattern - Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

Hybrid working is utilised at present and will mean the appointed person will work both at home and in the office on agreed days. From time to time there may also be some travel involved when required to attend face to face meetings with other partners. 

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
