To provide a high quality professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others. To act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. This post is for 37.5 hours per week.

  • Must be prepared to work shifts within the practice opening hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm and cover extended hours surgery 6:00pm-6.30pm if required
  • Excellent communication, organisational, administration and IT skills and be able to work as part of a team, Able to demonstrate care, compassion and empathy towards patients.
  • Conscientious, flexible and a sense of humor.  You will be expected to deal with the general public face to face and sometimes challenging situations. You must have a talent for multi-tasking, be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist preferred, but not essential if you possess the relevant skills and have a real interest in healthcare
  • The team is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to develop as part of the Medical Reception Team.
