This is an excellent opportunity for an experiences pharmacist to work within the adult clinical trials service within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, you will provide senior pharmacist support within the clinical trials team. Travel across sites may be required to provide services to some of the portfolio at outlying hospitals on occasion.
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde conduct a varied range of commercial and non-commercial adult clinical trials ranging from Phase I to Phase IV (post marketing), including all therapeutic areas. The clinical trials are conducted in various areas within the hospital including wards, clinics and within the Clinical Research Facilities based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Pharmacy has strong working relationships with the Research and Innovation Department, within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde being sponsor for a number of clinical trials. The major component of this role is to provide input to the set-up and conduct of clinical trials to researchers and other pharmacy staff.
