Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37.5 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.

We are seeking to recruit a District Nurse (Specialist Practitioner) to lead and work within the dynamic Community Nursing Team based in Peebles.

This post provides an opportunity to develop your leadership, coaching and management skills whilst supporting the Team Leader to deliver a high standard of care.

Running caseloads in Peebles you will work with band 6s across the Tweeddale locality, alongside the GPs and Community Nursing Teams assessing, implementing and delivering a variety of care needs to patients in their own home delivering a person centred approach to care.

The role will also involve the day to day management of the Community Team, ensuring that a high standard of holistic patient care is delivered and recorded using our electronic patient record (EMIS web). In addition the successful candidate will work alongside the wider Health and Social Care team to ensure integration of services and streamlined care for patients. Applicants must be caring and compassionate leaders that have excellent communication skills and a drive to deliver high quality nursing care.
