Band 6 Permanent CT and MRI - Full time

Due to the expansion of the Cross-Sectional Imaging service an exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Borders for a Cross Sectional Radiographer. CT experience is essential but training in MRI will be given if required.

Our talented and dedicated team work together towards a common goal - to always put our patients first. NHS Borders has made a commitment to developing compassionate leadership within the organisation where every team member is involved in creating a culture of compassion and inclusion.

The purpose-built CT/MRI Unit at Borders General Hospital houses a newly installed Siemens X-cite CT scanner and Siemens Sola 1.5 T MRI scanner which sees around 20k patients a year from a wide and varied range of specialities including Cardiac, Breast, Paediatrics, MSK, Neuro, Oncology, Thrombectomy and Trauma.

We are friendly and progressive actively encouraging and supporting post graduate study and Radiographers development.

The successful candidate will rotate through both CT and MRI. Candidates with extensive experience in CT and a keen interest in learning MRI are encouraged to apply. There is a requirement to participate in an out of hours on-call service (which includes assisting the main x-ray radiographer), and flexible working is essential as we move towards a 7-day service.

As a family friendly department Job share/part time for the right candidate would be considered.
