We are looking to recruit a Public Health Researcher as part of Aberdeen’s new Health Determinants Research Collaborative.  This exciting initiative comes about following the award of over £5 million from the National Institute for Health and Care Research.  Our activities and research efforts are focused on understanding the drivers of population health and finding ways to reduce health disparities in specific groups.   Working with partners NHS Grampian, Aberdeen City Council, University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University, the Public Health Researcher role is to evaluate activities within the workstreams of the overall research project, for example interventions to reduce fuel and food poverty.  This is an exciting place to be where we aim to create a more research-active culture in Aberdeen where evidence-based decisions guide health policies and interventions.
