Job Advert

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for permanent Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist/s with a wide range of paediatric clinical experience to join our small but dynamic team of Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) and Clinical Support Workers (CSWs) in Inverclyde. (Up to 1.2 WTE available, part time/full time/job share considered for the ideal candidate).

Ideally the post-holder will have a special interest in Eating, Drinking and Swallowing difficulties and hold, or be interested in working towards, a post graduate qualification in Dysphagia. A keen interest in children with Additional Support Needs would be an advantage as well as a desire to work together with partners in health and education to support children and families.

Clinical supervision, caseload/workload management and team lead support are provided. Internal and external CPD opportunities are available for staff to develop their knowledge, skills and experience. It is essential that you have a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and have current registration with the HCPC. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
