An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join Inverclyde Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) based at Greenock Health Care Centre.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Occupational Therapist preferably with significant clinical experience of working with children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, neurodevelopmental difficulties, and with an interest in leadership and service development.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team engaging and leading in both mental health assessments and occupational therapy assessments, interventions, individual and group work.
The post will include a work plan with leadership, case coordination, OT assessment and intervention of CYP with impact on their mental health due to mental health disorder, neurodevelopmental disorder, emerging eating disorders and those where mental health is impacting on participation in everyday life and activities. We are also keen to involve OT staff within the development of a group work programme within CAMHS.
You are required to be HCPC registered, have relevant experience in Occupational Therapy and experience in Mental health or Paediatrics is desirable however we offer both uni-professional and multi-disciplinary inductions and CPD opportunities.
We are looking for someone who is organised motivated and is looking to be part of a developing service. You must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills when working with children, young people and their families.
Training and support for your professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision, both uni-professionally and well as part of multidisciplinary team to support reflection and evidenced based practice.
