Applications are invited for a Clinical Support Worker to join our busy Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) Service.  You will work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team in Perth Royal Infirmary

The successful applicant will be based in Perth Royal Infirmary supporting the SLT team. Duties will include taking patient case histories, carrying out therapy programmes, oral care, administrative and cleaning duties. The postholder will be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to manage and prioritise their workload. 

Applicants should have a relevant qualification or proven relevant experience.

An active in-service training programme is in place both within the local base and the Tayside SLT Service.  There are regular SLT team meetings for the Perth & Kinross SLT team and the wider Tayside SLT team. Personal and Professional Development is structured via the TURAS appraisal system and you will have access to regular supervision sessions.

Your performance must comply with the national "Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009" and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.

Hours of work are:  30 hours. Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
