The Director of Finance is responsible for supporting the Chief Executive in his role as Accountable Officer and for providing the Board with financial and other business advice to enable the Board and the Chief Executive to properly discharge governance and relevant accountabilities. Information Governance is a key role with the Director of Finance being the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) for the Board which carries significant levels of responsibility.
You will also lead on:
Financial and Management Accounting
Digital Services
Information Governance
Procurement
Estates, Facilities and Capital Programmes
Audit and performance reporting to the Board
Endowments
You must have strong influencing and negotiating skills to gain support from Executive colleagues and other key stakeholders across the organisation and achieve your strategic objectives. In addition, you will work in collaboration with NHS, Social Care, Scottish Government and Local Authority peers across Scotland, as well as key partners and stakeholders, to ensure that the greatest value is achieved for our patients.
As an Executive member of the Board the post is subject to Ministerial approval.
