The Digital Directorate welcomes the opportunity to advertise a Head of Service – Digital Service Delivery post due to secondment.
This excellent opportunity will offer a senior management position within NHS Tayside’s Digital Directorate, directing a number of significant programmes of work, including delivery of cornerstone systems which support the provision of patient care and critical organisational activity across NHS Tayside
What we are looking for:
This senior role is responsible for the functions within the Infrastructure and Operations arm of Digital, overseeing a “business as usual” delivery of support services and additionally overseeing a programme of improvements and projects that will enable and provide the catalyst for new ways of working and delivering improved operational performance. This function will be critical in the ability of the organisation to implement and progress a number of in-flight programmes in the delivery of the NHS Tayside’s Digital Health and Care Strategy (2022 – 2027).
As a Head of Service, you will provide leadership at senior level to the Directorate and Governance Groups, ensure the vision of services and solutions is realised through clear delivery plans, implementation plans, across technologies, process and change areas.
Applications are invited from individuals who have extensive experience and skills in portfolio and programme management, service management and service delivery.
The successful individual will join the management team and will be central to linking our strategic and technical ambition with the necessary operational focus, to ensure optimal delivery of services.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Fixed Term/ Secondment until 31 March 2026
