The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri 8.30-16.30.
The Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (NRU) within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow is looking for a permanent, full-time Band 6 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist on a permanent basis. NRU is a regional resource providing specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation for neurologically impaired and major trauma patients.
The successful candidate must have a specialist interest in neurological rehabilitation. They will work as part of the Occupational Therapy team and collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapy to optimise patients’ independence.
There is a strong focus on development in the unit and B6 therapists will be supported to supervise B5 rotational therapists, generic support workers and students alongside undertaking service development projects.
Candidates should have at least 2 years post-graduate experience working as an Occupational Therapist within a relevant field of inpatient rehabilitation. Evidence of relevant CPD would be expected, alongside excellent interpersonal skills and a flair for team working.
