This post is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified individual to join an established service subject to ongoing development. The service in Dundee consists of two Community Mental Health Teams.
The successful applicant will be joining an integrated service and must be able to work independently, under the support and guidance of a Team Leader. The team consists of social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, medical staff and support workers.
There will be a requirement to construct links with other statutory and non-statutory agencies as well as engage with the public to enhance and improve the service. The post holder will also hold a caseload and will be responsible for carrying out specialist assessments and developing person centred therapeutic programmes of care. The post holder will also be involved in supporting student occupational therapists.
Applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with older people with mental health problems.

Hours of work are: 37.5 hours. This is a 7 day service operating between the hours of 9am – 5pm and the successful applicant may be expected to work at weekends on a rotational basis.
