Exciting opportunity for an experienced advanced speech and language therapist to work within an established adult learning disability team. The post holder is required to HCPC registered, trained in dysphagia and have knowledge and experience of AAC as well as relevant legislation. Experience of dealing with people with multimorbidities, challenging behaviour and working with 3rd sector agencies is essential.
You will support people with learning disabilities optimise their quality of life and support decision making in collaboration with appropriate carers and the wider MDT. Compassionate, you will be a team player and will provide direct support to 1.5 wte additional SLTs within the team as well as the wider MDT which comprises of nurses, healthcare support workers and other AHPs.
