Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Personal Secretary for AUCS  based at The Lister Centre at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours:

37.5 Hours per Week over Monday to Friday (5 days).


What you will do:

You will provide a dedicated, professional and comprehensive secretarial and business support to the Ayrshire Urgent Care Service (AUCS) Senior Managers (Clinical Director, Clinical Nurse Manager and Service Manager). Delivering the support in an effective, efficient and proactive manner which will be vital to the smooth running of AUCS.

Your main duties will include extensive email and electronic diary management which at times can be complex in a fast changing environment.  You will deal with highly confidential and sensitive material, requiring tact and diplomacy at all times.  Other duties include minute taking at various committees and groups, liaising with internal colleagues and external partners at all levels, ensuring office systems are highly co-ordinated and efficient whilst exercising informed judgement in prioritisation of workloads.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You are required to be proficient in, have knowledge of, or undertake training in the following:-

  • HND in Business Administration or similar subject is essential or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a secretarial role
  • Well-developed/excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
